Every dog lover has given their dog their own food at some point in time. Even the most clued up of dog owners will have done it. Most of us have probably even heard that it's not really that good for them, but we can't give in to temptation when they flash those puppy dog eyes. It's so hard to say no but the damage you could be making is really not worth it. Some human foods contain toxins that are extremely dangerous to dogs, even foods that are extremely healthy. This act of love and kindness could actually be fatal for our fluffy friends.
Who hasn't come home to an empty chocolate bar wrapper lying in the middle of the floor? Go on, admit it. We've all left something chocolatey lying around or left some cupboard door ajar we shouldn't have. The dog seemed fine so giving them a little treat every now and again won't do them any harm. Wrong! Surely you've heard that chocolate could one day possibly make your doggy blind? But did you know that chocolate can also have effects on your dog such as heart palpitations, muscle spasms, fits and even kill them? You may even notice effects such as vomiting and diarrhea. The culprit for this is Theobromine which can be found in human chocolate, so if you really want to treat your dog just buy them doggy treats.
