Top Seeded Sharks Fall to the Ducks
Another disappointing year for the Sharks who ended the NHL regular season with the best record, only to lose in the first round to the 8th seeded Anaheim Ducks. The Sharks have never won the Stanley Cup and many people believed (including me) that this was the year they were going to go the distance. Too bad they lost by a wide margin in only 6 games.
The remaining teams that seem to be playing the best hockey are the Boston Bruins, Detroit Redwings, and the Vancouver Canucks. My money (after losing most of it on the Sharks) would be on the Redwings, a team with vast playoff experience that knows what it takes to win it all.

Yea, I was one of those hopefuls that thought the sharks were going to pull it out this year!

One has to wonder if the Sharks are going to have a fire sale and then begin the process of retoolling?

Ice hockey is a manly game. I am interested in watching as well I want to play but till now I haven’t play yet and I am still dreaming. Solway Sharks finishing top of the table in Northern League along with Fife Flyers loose to (8th seeded) Anaheim Ducks by a wide margin is unbelievable. Sharks should know what it takes to win the next Stanley cup. If they won it will be a memorable day as they have never lifted the cup till now.
